Electric Vehicle Handover Ceremony & The first ILJTM EV Centre collaboration between ILP Perai and Autotronics officiated by YB MR STEVEN SIM CHEE KEONG, HUMAN RESOURCES MINISTER.
ILP Perai plays a pivotal role as a primary centre that promotes innovation, industrial development, and the growth of SMEs by providing technical assistance, training, and provides access to necessary resources to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of small and medium-sized industries.
Among the EV skilled workforce training programs that currently being implemented is the Electric Vehicle (EV) program in collaboration with the Autotronics Centre of Excellence.
Those who participate in this program will be awarded the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 and the Level 3 United Kingdom IMI Certificate.
Majority of the automotive instructors from ILP Perai has the IMI Level 4 Certificate in the Field of Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components (QCF). This certification is aimed at qualifying a technician to work on electric-powered or hybrid vehicles.
Furthermore, the Department of Skills Development (JPK) has also accredited ILP Perai as a Practical Assessment Centre and training will commence in January 2024.
Also taking place is the Handover Ceremony of ILP Perai’s Drone Equipment by SG Academy, which also signed an MOU with JTM last year to support and strengthen drone programs under the JTM Drone Technology Hub through 15 selected ILJTM institutions. ILP Perai is declared as the first in Malaysia to receive approval from CAAM as an RPTO Training Centre, and the inauguration ceremony was officiated by YBM Steven Sim Chee Keong through the signing of the inauguration plaque.
