K10 : DIPLOMA IN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

This program aims to produce graduates who have knowledge in supervising, designing and fostering jobs in the automotive field including human resource management, cost control and so on.  In addition, graduates will also be exposed to the latest technologies in the automotive field such as hybrid and electric vehicle technology. 

 

Graduates also need to make one final project that is a mandatory element to be awarded with Stage 4 DKM according to the Certification of the Department of Skills Development (JPK).  Among the subjects offered in this program are Automotive Advance Technology, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Storage Management and Quality Control.  Upon graduation, graduates are able to specifically understand the overall element of management in the automotive field to be practiced in related careers.

 

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Malaysian citizenship
  • Not exceeding 35 years of age
  • Meeting the specific requirements of the course (please refer to the requirements of each course)
  • Pass the interview conducted
  • Not blind/colourblind/deaf (without assistive device) or mute or physically disabled with impairments that may hinder practical work and learning sessions. Please refer to the Admission Guidelines for OKU Candidates.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA IN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

 

Meeting the General Admission Requirements (Please refer to the general requirements above). Having a Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in ONE of the following fields:

 

(a) P-115-3 / P-010-3: Motor Vehicle Technician; or

(b) P-030-3: Commercial Vehicle Technician; or

(c) TP-300-3: Senior Motor Vehicle Technician; or

(d) TP-300-3:2013: Automotive After Sales Servicing; or

(e) TP-307-3: Service and Maintenance of Commercial Vehicles; or

(f) TP-307-3:2012: Service and Maintenance of Commercial Vehicles; or

(g) G452-001-3:2017: Commercial Vehicle Diagnostic Service; or (h) G452-002-3:2018: Diagnostic Service – Light Vehicles.

ASSESSMENT METHODS

 

In ILP Perai, assessments are conducted continuously and these include Coursework, Quizzes, Assignments, Knowledge Assessments, Performance Assessments, Final Year Project and Final Assessments.

 

Coursework: 40% (Practical- 25% & Theory – 15%)

Final Examination: 40% (Practical- 25% & Theory – 15%)

Final Year Project: 20%
