A08 : WELDING TECHNOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

Exposure to theory and practical aspects of welding processes involving carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and many more.  Some of the welding methods covered include Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Submerge Arc Welding (SAW), and more.

Students will also learn plasma cutting methods, reading symbols and blueprints, and testing weld joints through methods such as dissecting, bending, and elongating metals.
