A11 : AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

INTRODUCTION

Automotive course involves training in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of vehicles, which includes various systems such as the engine system, auto electrical system, transmission system, brake system, car air conditioning system, suspension system, and steering system. Students who enrol in this course will be exposed to theoretical and practical learning that meets the requirements for certification, namely the Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 by the Department of Skills Development (JPK) and the Technology Certificate by the Department of Human Resources (JTM).

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizenship
  • Aged 17 to 35 years old
  • Not blind/colourblind/deaf (without assistive device) or mute or physically disabled with impairments that may hinder practical work and learning sessions. Please refer to the Admission Guidelines for OKU Candidates.
  • Completed Form 5
  • Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

 

OBJECTIVES

  • To produce skilled workforce in automotive that is needed by the Automotive Industry in the country.
  • To enhance the quality of skilled industrial worker, enabling them to contribute more effectively towards the development of the country.
  • To create opportunities for school-leavers to receive systematic industrial skills training, enabling them to secure a job.
